Why?Town

When I was a youngster in the early 70s I remember my grandfather walking into his neighbor's front yard (about 4 houses north of Chaney) and picking any edible mushrooms before anyone else would get them. I'm pretty sure no one else was interested. I kinda wish I would have had him teach me which were/are which but by the time I would have eaten something like that I might not have accurately remembered what was what. IIRC, he would eat more than one kind and that front yard wasn't the only place he'd have a snack.

Observation While Walking

With all the recent rain, mushrooms are starting to pop up.

One house I passed today must have had over 200 mushrooms in the front yard.
