The End Of The Youngstown School System (As We Know It)

Some in the black community feel that the reason HB 70 only affects Youngstown is because the school board in Youngstown is made up almost entirely of minorities.

For the sake of our children this had  better work. As to the title of this thread, sure, it will bring to an end a failed system in a city where most of the parients refuse to be involved in their childrens education, in a city where only a very small handfull of parients even care about what their children are doing. The system has failed, parients have failed, so what other choice was there? None! The new system will not be able to turn the failed parients around but just maby it will be able to reach out and bring some real structure to our school system.

If this gets any better results than the school system "as we've known it for the last
ten years or so"......  then it didn't probably happen soon ENOUGH......

Yesterday Governor Kasich signed HB 70.  A CEO will now be selected to run the Youngstown school system.
