Fewer Candidates For Mahoning County Commissioner

I know a few people who would like to run for office as an independent candidate.  The method of getting on the ballot as an independent is daunting.

Really sad to see how party politics removes the public from really having a voice
and say in the process.

Sad to see that a few hundred party committee folks through their endorsements eventually force
candidates out of the race for the sake of "party unity."

Instead of the general public having the say in a primary, it is the movers and shakers of the party
who eventually calls the shots.

I guess this is what a democracy looks like in Mahoning County.

The field in the Democratic primary race just got a little smaller.

Both Stocker and McNally have dropped out.
