Getting tired of all the Vindy coverage of Al Adi......Give it a rest....tired of reading 4 different stories today that basically said the same thing over and over again. There are many people in this valley who have been screwed by the government over the years.....why don't you cover our problems?
The problem is with fny entertaiment committee. This is a powerful Committee that controls which news stories are to be covered.
Once again the Vindy milks this story by running a headline story that his wife flew back to Jordan.....PLEASE...enough about this guy and his family!!!!!

He lost his green card and screwed up every avenue to eventually become a citizen for 30 years.....the guy was not a U.S. citizen and should have been deported years ago....justice has finally been served!!!!!

Yes, back in his early 20s, it appears he might have entered into a fraudulent marriage, to get a green card. There was nothing wrong with anything he did after that. But, because the first marriage was deemed fraudulent, he was never allowed to get another green card, and there was nothing else he could have done to get his green card, after returning to the US in 1992.
Ditto ... The fact is that dragging this story out will not bring him back.

I don't think I ever said otherwise. I just have a problem with how he was treated by ICE, (not the topic of this thread) and the way he is being misrepresented by so many. He was never illegal. He was not lazy for neglecting to seek citizenship for 30 years. He was not stupid, for screwing up every avenue to citizenship, as if there was more than one. There was only one, and he screwed that up almost 37 years ago.
He screwed up and cried to the Vindy because the jig was up. Shame on the Vindy for milking this story for so long. I guess they milked this story so they can win numerous state awards for their coverage and convince advertisers to still help them stay alive. The Vindy's days are numbered just like Adi's....
