Quote from the story:

"Among the few specifics in the story is the example of "Jain Irrigation, which cannot find all the workers it wants for $15-an-hour jobs running expensive machinery that spins out precision irrigation tubing at 600 feet a minute, 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

$15-an-hour is just above the poverty level for a family of four, at about 130%."

What the heck?  What kind of screwed up life does that person lead that he or she is trying to support four people on $15 an hour?  Why do I have to keep reading about this mythical family of four in news stories?  $15 an hour is damn good money for a SINGLE PERSON, and if you are only making that much then DON"T HAVE CHILDREN!

The mentality that unless you have children then something is wrong with you is pure BS, and causes more problems in this country than anything else.  Why do people constantly have to dig themselves into very deep holes by taking on way too much responsibility on way too little income?
