Gov. Strickland has asked the Ohio Department of Education to cut $50 million dollars from their budget for fiscal year 2009.
Being the good democrat, Bob Hagan will do what Governor Strickland asks. The $50 million in cuts will be passed down to local and city school districts, who will have to pass the cut onto the people in more school levies. Bob Hagan needs to defend his vote this fall when this occurs.

Help make Bob Hagan explain his votes this fall.....make Hagan campaign this November. Help Dennis Spisak get on the ballot this November. Please stop by the 4 Seasons Flea Market on Sunday or in front of the Board of Elections on Monday. Lets get him the signatures (25 times more than what Hagan needed) to get on the ballot.

There was a time when the 60th District of Ohio was the most progressive area in the state. However, one-party rule has stopped progress in our valley.

Again, you need to ask yourself the questions, if Bob Hagan did not have a (D) or the word "Democrat" next to his name on election day, would you keep releecting him back to Columbus for the past 20 years?

Now is the time for voters of the 60th district to make Bob Hagan campaign and defend his record in November if he wants to return to the statehouse as a State Legislature.

It's time for Bob Hagan to debate and tell us how he will help the valley and defend his positions on:

job creation, alternative energy development, health-care reform, verifiable elections, and equitable funding for education.;

It's time for Bob Hagan to defend why he took money from over 19 lobbyists and 90 PACS last year.

I will bring an independent voice to this House race. As a Green Party Candidate I am pledged to refuse any and all campaign contributions from corporate and special interests. When elected officials are sent to Columbus to represent the interests of their District more often than not these types of contributions influence their decisions in a way that does not represent the greater needs of their constituents.

Running as the endorsed Ohio Green Party Candidate, I need 321 registered signatures while Bob Hagan only needed 50 because
the Green Party is not recognized by the State of Ohio as an official political party. I must comply with election laws that compel Independent candidates to gather 25 times more signatures than the major party candidates are required to obtain in order to appear on the ballot. The rules written by the two major parties are obviously intended to limit participation by third parties and Independents and are a direct cause of the overall low participation by Ohio citizens who never register, vote or run for elected office.

If you want to have true Democracy in the valley this November please visit one of our final petition gathering sites to ensure that
Bob Hagan will have to earn his seat back in Columbus this fall.

The 60th district includes registerd voters in Youngstown, Struthers,Campbell, Lowellville, and Coitsville Township.
You be a registered democrat or republican and sign our petition and still vote in your primary election the next day.

Our final petition gathering sites will be:

at the Four Seasons Flea and Farm Market at 3000 McCartney Road, Youngstown, this Sunday, March 2, 2008 from 9am-4pm.

at the Mahoning County Board of Elections on Monday, March 3, 2008 from 10am to 2pm for any voters casting absentee ballots.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Dennis Spisak
