I've been told substitute workers in the Youngstown City Schools received a letter this week stating they are no longer allowed to sub more than 3 days a week due to the fact that if they work at least 30 hours a week, the school district must now offer them healthcare. The letter also stated if they work more than 3 days a week, they will be fired immediately. This could have a huge impact on classrooms not being covered in the future as well as the potential of not having enough bus drivers each day. Plus, some individuals will see their weekly income fall by 2/5. This is sad.
