Title: Today's Vindy Editorial: More Potental Harm To The Environment?
Post by: irishbobcat on January 07, 2012, 11:37:47 AM
Today's Vindy editorial....

http://www.vindy.com/news/2012/jan/07/shell-chemicals-project-would-be-boon-fo/ (http://www.vindy.com/news/2012/jan/07/shell-chemicals-project-would-be-boon-fo/)

IMO, I have a concern that the Vindy loudly supports a chemical plant and process they
even describe as "sketchy".

To back a chemical plant and process that is based upon the controversial fracking
industry is somewhat puzzling.

If fracking is not a safe 100 percent process, and the area will be prone to fracking
accidents that will cause environmental harm to our land and water, why would we
want to accelerate this danger process by creating more demand for it with the creation
of this chemical plant?

Yes lets just shoot down every potential wealth creator that comes down the line, as we con't want prosperity to get inthe way of our 30 year land self pity party.  "Oh woe is Youngstown. We have no jobs, no money, no nothing."  "Isn't it great!!!"
