If you haven't already, I would encourage you to email them your concerns.

I have absolutely no experience with this kind of thing, but it looks like they have done a terrific job of getting things going so far.  Considering the first meeting was less than 2 weeks ago, there is still a lot of "construction" going on, I'm sure.

I understand that.  I've read all of  the related posts on this board.
But in reference to their new website, which is what Jay posted about...
They don't explain that they are a fund raising organization.
It says to support them by visiting  the listed venues and mentions their meeting times.
It is there but buried in a news article --
QuoteThe group, Hughes said, would not "pick a favorite theater," but would evenly distribute money raised through membership fees and private donations to all area theaters.
That fact could be emphasized on the website and immediately visible and evident.
Not being critical here, wishing them the best.
and IMHO
Some of the theaters listed do not need additional funding.
DeYor/Powers get TONS of money already and so does Stambaugh.
It is the smaller venues such as the Victorian Players which Jay mentioned that need the community's help.
Perhaps the division of funds could be relative to each theaters' needs.
But I'm not a member of the org so I'll get off my soapbox now.
They are doing a good service for the community and hopefully they will succeed.

The site is very nice.
Their purpose isn't entirely clear.
I like the events calendar.
This is the group of people who were originally trying to save the State Theatre.  They are a nonprofit group who wants to raise funds and distribute those funds equally to the local venues listed.
