Another segment of our community has complained that the Fellows Riverside Garden's gift shop sells foreign made items and crafts.

QuoteDo you believe that he is not qualified to run Mill Creek Park

Other governmental entities around the Mahoning Valley are paying new hires at a lower rate than those who currently hold the same job.

Do you believe that he is not qualified to run Mill Creek Park, and that a tragic mistake was made by hiring him.

Just a question. Have you taken the time to compare the job description of the new director with the old? Did it occur to you that the board might have given the new director more responsibilities than the previous director had, and if they did, don't you think that he should be compensated for the added work, or are you of the view that he should get less than the previous director because he's "new" to this job? What is his resume?

From the Press Release:
.
According to Schiavoni, the final details of his employment must be worked out before Young officially assumes duties at MCMP in January 2015.

A few days ago, the Youngstown newspaper featured a story about public entities that spend a lot of money on public relations and advertising.  Mill Creek Park was one of three examples listed in the story.

I guess they can justify it after he agrees to frack Mill Creek Park....which will pay for his raise.....

How could the Mill Creek Park board of commissioners justify giving the incoming park director a $5,000 increase in salary over the previous director?  The new director has never worked for this park system and hasn't proven himself worthy of a pay increase.
