Lower Trash Fees For The Elderly

The pay-as-you-throw plastic bag system is the answer but will the city adopt it?

The city will soon seek bids for trash collection.  The City Council Public Utilities Committee asked the Deputy Director of Public Works to investigate providing trash service at a lower rate for seniors and others who no longer generate much residential waste.
