i KNOW WHAT DEMOCRATS STAND FOR, AND YOU SIR, ARE NO DEMOCRAT!

Dan Moadus

Sorry Dennis. You don't get to decide what a Democrat is. The Democrat Party is what "We The People" say it is, and I think the American people are shortly going to do a little "redefining" of both parties.

irishbobcat

DAN....YOU LACK ANY SENSE.......  TRYING TO PASS YOURSELF OFF AS A DEMOCRAT......YOU REPUBLICAN ELEPHANT WHO TOOK IN TO MUCH NAPALM IN NAM...IT'S EATING AWAY YOUR BRAIN AND SENSES.....

KEEP SUPPORTING THE TOP 1% OF THE RICH IN THIS COUNTRY.....EVEN THOUGH NOW LIVE IN YOUR DISTRICT.....

Dan Moadus

Dennis, Has the glut of houses on the market driven up the cost of housing? Has the glut of automobiles driven up the cost of cars? While duplicated equipment or duplicated services do add to the cost of health care, they are not the problem. As usual you exhibit a lack of knowledge about how the free market works.

What about the glut of MRI facilities in the US that has driven up health care costs in America, Dan?

Prescription Prices which have skyrocketed in America, Dan?

This health care system is broken, and you want to keep the status quo......

Dan Moadus, the republican for congress in the 17th district wearing the back half of a donkey suit........

Not very reassuring. It doesn't matter that the language could be changed, in the end it will still be Government run, and managed health care similar to the Canadian system (even though they deny it). And in Canada, health care is rationed.

But you say, "Health care is rationed in the United States too, just ask someone who was refused coverage by the current insurance providers". Yes, true, but in Canada health care is rationed by far more than just having procedures or coverage denied. Canada has so managed their system that they are having to deal with fewer and fewer doctors, as they leave to work elsewhere, and equipment shortages because the government decides how many MRI's are needed instead of the free market determining it.

Just as in Great Britian, certain procedures are denied once the government decides the cost/benefit ratio is exceeded. No matter how you phrase it, bureaucrats decide who lives and dies in countries that adopt government managed health care, and when the government controls it, you are out of options. At least now, you still have many options to explore.

If the government take over the system and adds millions of new "customers", and unlimited benefits, even for illegals, you can bet that the end-of-life is going to be coming much sooner for a lot of people, one way or another.

Senators exclude end-of-life provision from bill

False 'Death Panel' Rumor Has Some Familiar Roots

It should be noted that the House version is the one that sturred up the controversy. The Senate is currently working on five different versions in committees and Grassley can't speak for the House, and there isn't any indication that the House will follow the Senate's lead.

In fairness it must be noted that the House has not as yet voted on H.R. 3200, nor has it yet been scheduled for a floor vote which gives the House committee time enough to take the provision out of their bill by revisiting it in committee before going to the Rules Committee preliminary to bringing it up for a vote of the full House.

Again in fairness, when it goes to Conference, the conference can take it out before the final version is voted on.
