UPDATE:

The reduction will mainly affect those who currently pay some or all of their utilities.

According to what I've read, this years Ohio weather was the deciding factor along with lower utility bills, yet Dominion East Ohio says that gas bills this winter will be higher. They are also predicting that this winter will be a mild on comparable to last winter, which means that if the prediction proves correct, and we have another mild winter with lower utility bills, the USDA could make yet another reduction which could knock thousands of families off the food stamp program next year.

is that unfair to the poor? how can they let fam and frds know where they are at all times through tweeter, fb or ms? how unfair.

I bet it wouldn't occur to most of those affected to drop the data plan on their smart phones to help offset the loss of "income"

the food banks will be on over drive to help offset this defcit in one's food bill.

There's no way that the dems can blame the Republicans since Ohio appealed the decision of the USDA, and the Obama controlled USDA turned the appeal down flat.

If this is part of the Fiscal Cliff it won't happen.

If it's not then the local Dems will find a way to blame the Republicans in Columbus......

Democratic Obama's USDA kicks the poor in the guts

Ohioans on food stamps could see their benefits cut by about $50.00 a month starting next year or $600.00 a year.
