Hosting the 2nd Annual ³Give-A-Coat² Campaign

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO (November 11, 2011) The 2nd Annual RMHC ³Give-A-Coat²
campaign is gearing up to host three separate events that will spread warmth
across Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties.

This year the board of directors of the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of
Mahoning Valley & Western Pennsylvania (RMHC®) will be spending more than
$20,000 to purchase brand new coats for children who¹s families have been
devastated by this country¹s economic turmoil.

Three leading local agencies/organizations have once again agreed to tackle
the task of identifying the thousands of underserved children from each of
their counties. In the weeks leading up to each of the events they will also
be distributing letters/vouchers to the parents and guardians of the
children who qualify to receive the brand new winter coats, this holiday
season.

According to the local meteorologists, this winter may really pack a punch.
They¹re predicting record-setting snowfall and extremely low temperatures.
When temperatures plunge below freezing, a child can suffer from frostbite
or other unimaginable consequences quickly,² said Herb Washington, board
president of RMHC of Mahoning Valley & Western PA, and local McDonald¹s
owner and operator.  ³No child should have to wait for a school bus without
the proper attire or miss out on an opportunity to build a snowman because
they don¹t have a coat.²
Local McDonald¹s owners and operators, including Herb Washington, John
Perdue, Dave Rieger, Tom Locke, Steve Telischak, and Rick Telischak, many of
whom also serve on board of RMHC, and dozens of volunteers will be at each
event redeeming vouchers and passing out coats.

organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) status whose programs benefit children in
the areas of health care, medical research, education, the arts, and civic
and social services.

Vision
We believe that when you change a child¹s life, you change a family¹s, which
can change a community, and ultimately the world.  We strive to be part of
that change and part of the solution in improving the lives of children and
their families by providing programs that strengthen families during their
most difficult or challenging times.

We reach and impact the lives of children throughout Mahoning Valley, Ohio
and Western Pennsylvania through years of experience and strong
relationships with the local community leaders and the people to address the
unique needs for the communities we serve.

We rely on our strong relationships with the medical community to provide
access to health care. We rely on strategic alliances with organizations
that have the knowledge and infrastructure to extend our reach. We rely on
you our donors, volunteers, staff and friends.
