Announcements about upcoming events are periodically removed by a moderator or the poster after the event. This keeps things current.

Was the post an announcement about an upcoming event?

Please note the following  message on the BBS front page under Announcements and Events

"Note:
Please delete your events after they are over to keep the announcements timely."

If it was a general ongoing announcement such as "We are going to have a meeting regarding a defense walk every 3rd Tuesday at 7pm at my house" it would then be more current and timely.

Personal commentary about a subject is considered discussion ... If you have an original article about the event after it happened or a viewpoint about the subject addressed at the defense walk, you can post your discussion on a board that you think is appropriate for your topic.

Why was the story of the Youngstown defense walk and all refs to it removed? It seems a bit suspicious? I think that it was certainly a story worth covering?
