Save the Pig Iron Press
Ground Hog Day Fundraiser- Saturday February 2, 2013 4pm until midnight at the Pig Iron Press Building, 26 North Phelps Street, Downtown YoungstownPot Luck Optional-Public Invited 
$10.00 Admission/ $5.00 Admission with Pot Luck.
Erected in 1910, the Pig Iron Press Building, formerly the Frankle Brothers Tobacco Shop, is a three-story commercial row-building unit 18 feet wide and 85 feet deep. Funds raised in this campaign will be applied to restoring and upgrading the historic structure. Proposed modifications and additions include pressure-cleaning the facades, front and rear; lighting improvement; paint interior walls and ceilings; add sinks and counters; restore oak floor; first floor; replace tile floor; second floor; insulate ceiling; third floor; and point coping, roof. Funds raised through appeal will be supplemented by applications for grants and bank financing if necessary. Cost of the project is projected at $25,000.
