Maybe they are referring to the bend just south of the Market Street bridge.  Its not dangerous at all for drivers who actually are paying attention.

Why?Town

I've personally driven Market Street many 1000s of times and can't for the life of me figure out where this dead man's curve is.

The reason I say this is becasue there absolutely no place on Market Street that can't be safely driven by anyone that's paying attention to the task at hand (driving) and doing so at less than 150% of the posted speed limits.

Citizens of the south side are trying to eliminate the "Dead Man;s Curve" on Market Street.  The curve has been the location of several fatal accidents over the years.
