At the counter of a fast food place today

The employee said we do not have pennies to give as change.

Wednesday, November 15

Today by change should have been $4.12.  I was only given $4.10.

Another problem with lack of change.
November 10

My change should have been $3.91.
She gave $4.00 back to me.

Another problem with lack of change.

A waitress did this recently.
My change should have been $8.61.
She wrote on my receipt "rounded up, no change".
She gave $9.00 back to me.

At a fast food restaurant.
An employee said "your change should be $0.82".  Do you want the 2 cents?

Friday, September 1

Dined out this afternoon.  Waitress left the bill at my table.  She picked up my payment and returned with my change and the receipt.
My change should have been $3.91.
She wrote on the receipt "Rounded Up, No Change".  She gave $4.00 back to me.

Why?Town

The lack of change shouldn't fall on you or the cashier. The cashier should give you what you deserve and if it takes a nickel to give you 2 cents the business should be be out the extra. That would actually help them get rid of the coins they seem to be afraid to have on hand.

Sunday, July 30.

At a west side fast food eatery.

When I paid for my order, the change should have been $0.82.  The cashier said I do not have pennies and gave $0.80 to me.    >:(     :P

And here is the opposite situation.

My change  should have been $4.20.

The waitress wrote a note on my bill.
"No change, rounded up"
She gave me $5.00.

I gave her an extra dollar tip to make up for her 80 cent loss.

For the second time this week, I was shortchanged.

1st Time - I was shorted one penny.

2nd Time - My change should have been $5.07.  I was only given the $5.00.

I'm confused.  Businesses don't want rolled coins and at the same time they don't have enough coins to give for change.
