The Oakland Center for the Arts, 220 W. Boardman St., announces a Brownie Bake-Off in conjunction with its upcoming Spring musical, Reefer Madness. The Brownie Bake Off will take place at the Oakland on Sunday, April 26, from 7-10 pm. Admission will be $5 and includes brownie tasting and judging privileges, plus a screening of the original propaganda film version of Reefer Madness. Other munchies and beverages will be available for an additional charge. All proceeds raised will benefit the upcoming production.

Bakers interested in submitting brownies for judging should contact Brooke at oaklandopenmic@gmail.com or call 330.718.5515. Contestants will be asked to bring at least 2 dozen brownies. There is no entrance fee. All entries will be voted on by attendees. The top three recipes with the most votes will be featured at the opening night reception on May 1.  First place winner will receive a Season Flexpass to the Oakland; second place is 4 complimentary tickets to Reefer Madness and third place prize is a pair of complimentary tickets to Reefer Madness.
