Title: Why the 11-Cornersburg Bus Was Running Late on One Trip
Post by: jay on March 28, 2024, 09:33:14 AM
Earlier this week

The outbound 11-Cornersburg bus stopped to pickup a passenger on a motorized chair in front of the nursing home on Canfield Road a little west of S. Schenley.
The bus driver carefully secured the chair in the appropriate place on the bus.
The bus then started to head west toward Meridian Road when the man in the motorized chair pulled the cord to signal that he wanted to get off the bus at the Dollar General Store on Canfield Road.
The bus driver stopped the bus and then helped remove the motorized chair from the belts which were used to hold it in place.

This short trip could not have been more than 400 yards.   ???

It takes several minutes to load a motorized chair and then several minutes to unload the chair.

This short trip added about 9 minutes to the scheduled arrival to the plaza where the Rulli Brothers store is located in Austintown.
