Title: Another day in the neighborhood
Post by: Towntalk on February 15, 2013, 04:18:02 PM
Well another apocalyptic prediction has bit the dust and the doomsayers are once again looking like perfect fools. The asteroid has made its pass and not a single event has occurred of any consequence save for the opportunity for astronomers to get a good look at it. The event took place this afternoon at about 2:30.

You can rest assured that the cable channels will continue to tout these disproven warnings as science fact ... they are still running programs on the 2012 warnings even though the day came and went with nothing happening.

A relatively small meteor, weighing about 10 tons, recently entered the atmosphere over Russia.  Over 1,000 people were injured by window glass that was shattered by the meteor's shock wave.
