While gearing my web site up for convention coverage I noted that both parties are making a point of stressing that this year's conventions will be the most eco-friendly conventions in history.

Think of the fuel that will be used getting the conventioneers, the media, and all the support people to and from the conventions.

Think of all the grub that will be go sliding down the gullets of all those folks and the amount of energy used to prepare and store that food.

Think of the impact the convention will have on the municipal sewage treatment plants in the host cities.

I just wonder if the two parties will give us a complete breakdown of the environmental impact their conventions actually had.
