My Mother was the organists at that church, and I was the song leader, both my Step Father and my Mother were buried out of Sacred Heart so I take any slight as a severe offense.

TT to be fair the reporter was making it easier to pinpt the area by the ch's former name. If one is not a practicing Catholic, one would wonder where the hadis is st. Aom CH is in ytown. The other erroneous facts is egg on the reporter's face. :o

To be fair ... today the weekday news team cleaned up the story thanks to Gerry Ricciutti and Dave Sess.

 WKBN Stupid Reporting

http://wkbn.com/2015/04/17/youngstown-police-investigating-east-side-homicide/

In reporting the shooting on South Jackson Street on Youngstown's  East Side, the reporter, not bothering to get his facts straight, referred to St. Angela Merici Roman Catholic Church by it's old name Sacred Heart Church.

The station was called twice about this but NEVER corrected it.

Sacred Heart and Immaculate Conception Churched were merged several years ago so there was NO excuse for the half witted reporting except for pure laziness.

By the way in that same story a burnt out pick up truck was found on church property, but did the reporter even bother to talk to the pastor of St. Angela Merici at which time he could have gotten the right name? Obviously he didn't.

Did the reporter even bother to go to the scene, or did he do it from the studio based on a phone call?

SLOPPY REPORTING from a once proud news station. SHAME!
