Read my comment to that article on the Vindy website.

Newer buildings have fake facades and are held in place by little puny clips. They aren't designed to last very long.  So we have two buildings in downtown with failing facades while the old school skyscrapers soldior on decade after decade.

While I do like the aesthetic of that building, and think it is an asset to downtown's architecture, (unlike many of the other new buildings downtown) this is why I am always in favor of keeping and reusing our historic architecture when possible.
