I agree that giving foreign carmakers unfair trade advantages  and even promoting
the outsourcing of assembly plants to Mexico, Asian destinations, etc is absolutely
REPREHENSIBLE [sp?]

Many of the foreign car makers are building cars in the United States now -this
seems like a fair compromise in the overall auto industry - American JOBS are
being created every time a foreign manufacturer opens another carmaking
facility HERE, in the United States. 

THAT part, at least, I agree to.  I have mixed feelings about bailing out GM,
Ford and Chrysler.  I would rather see them forced to go through a Chapter
11 Re-organization, with some [LIMITED] aid from the Government to keep
their operations up and running - and therefore head off the losses of TENS
of thousands of American Jobs.

A Chapter 11 process would force the "Big Three" to overhaul their entire
business operation, and make it more efficient, cost effective, and COMPETETIVE
in a global economy.

Anyways, just my two cents worth...
