The organizers of this tour wanted me to point out the following information:

The trolley only costs 10 cents for Seniors, 20 cents round trip.

The bus fare to get downtown to the trolley is only 50 cents for Seniors, $1 round trip. You need to have exact change.

Departure points going to the downtown trolley are the Austintown Plaza, McGuffey Plaza, Warren, Eastwood Mall, Lincoln Knolls, Southern Park Mall and Liberty Plaza. Call WRTA for the schedule.

Larger groups can call The Butler and they will provide a guide. Also, The Butler has a program on Wednesdays at 12:15 pm. You can bring a brown bag lunch to this.
Here is what's scheduled so far:

October 23  Dana Percussion Ensemble directed by Glenn Schaft

October 30  New Music Society Annual Fall Concert directed by Robert Rollin

November 6  The University Chorus & The Dana Chorale

November 13 Dana Chamber Winds directed by Stephen Gage

November 20 New Music Society directed by Robert Rollin

November 27  Dana Saxophone Studio Recital

This is a self-guided tour for anyone interested in visiting the Butler and seeing some downtown Youngstown sites including the 7 plus beautiful murals. No reservations or phone calls are necessary. All the information you need in order to go on the tour is provided below:

The cultural trolley/bus leaves every ½ hour ( 7:10am to 5:10pm ) year round from the Federal Street WRTA bus station in downtown Youngstown. One-way fare is 25 cents, round trip is 50 cents.  During warm weather, a trolley is used. Otherwise, a regular WRTA bus is used.

The trolley/bus doesn't run on Sunday and the Butler is closed on Mondays so this is basically a Tuesday through Saturday opportunity.

The trip gives the passenger a chance to go to the Butler but also to view the beautiful murals put up on downtown buildings featuring art works from the Butler. Lunch specials are available at the locally owned Cedars Restaurant downtown. Holiday snacks are also planned at the Butler.

This is a relatively new tour and other features will develop as the tours gain momentum.
