Ohio Supreme Court ordered David Aey off the ballot today in the Sheriff race.
Business as usual in valley politics...
Is David Aey the owner of "Aey Electric" by any chance?
:?
Did anyone catch Rivers this morning? I caught the tail end of a caller claiming Wellington threatened U.S. marshals (allegedly using county sheriff dept. letterhead) who were to testify in favor of Aey, and then committed perjury when questioned about the threatening letters. The caller claimed that the story will be breaking soon in Columbus and Cleveland.
While not comparable in size or importance to the Presidential race, this is going to be an interesting race to follow as the two candidates duke it out in the courts. I'm waiting to see how and if the state-wide media even bothers to cover it. One thing is certain, if and when they do the articles will be quite negative toward the valley. After the positive coverage surrounding the Presidential race this is sad, very sad indeed.
We all know that the Plain Dealer has always held Youngstown in contempt, a position that they have taken from the very beginning, and the Columbus Dispatch, like the Plain Dealer has always looked down its nose at us, so don't be shocked at anything they say about us. Just consider the source, and ignore it.
Considering the fact that Cleveland is itself a major mob city they certainly have no room to talk.
