I'm looking to move into the city..something closer to YSU if possible. Although I'm not sure I can live in an apartment building because I have a pug puppy who has a tendency to be quite loud. I'm sure that the neighbors would not appriciate the barking and yelling of a puppy.
I'm looking for a small house, preferably on the North/West side...decent neighborhood if possible and of course allows small pets.

I noticed a house for rent at the end of South Hartford on the west side. The home is only a few hundred yards away from a WRTA bus route. I don't know if are in need of public transportation.
Public transportation is not needed in this case. Just looking for something close by in a somewhat alright neighborhood. :-)
I don't know of any houses for rent that are what you're looking for.
But, there's a house in my neighborhood that is for sale for @29k, that I think would be a good fit.

I think the house would be move-in ready. It's cheap because the lot is so small.
