May I step out of character for a moment to point out that at today's Vindicator web site you can hear the original version of War Of The Worlds. You might want to go there to listen to it as I didn't plan to link to it here.
Since it's not possable to save their link, if you are interested in having your own copy let me know and I'll post an MP3 link to the program.

A funny anecdote for you:


My maternal Grandmother was born on Halloween....every year when the trick-or-treaters would come to
her door, my grandfather would say "Alma!  Take off that mask, you're scaring the kids!"
