I don't have a problem with using shipping containers for housing, but I don't think they're necessary here.  It's likely cheaper--and greener--to buy an existing house.  And, we all know that we have a surplus of those.

Shipping containers are being used to make houses in many areas of the United States.  In this example, you can easily see the containers.



A home can be beautiful and it is not as obvious that it was made from shipping containers.
