I recently bought a 32" Samsung 1080p tv and found a significant improvement in my viewing experience as far as my cable provider is concerned. It broadcasts sd channels only. There's a significant difference in picture clarity from my old Phillips CRT TV to the new Samsung LCD TV. And that's not to mention the size of the screen which was 21" before I decided to buy the new one.
