Ten members of the Mahoning Valley Yahoo Group are coming to this game.  We would like to sit among the members of the South Side Forum Group.

People who live nearby are more likely to attend.  Pemberton Field is within walking distance of hundreds of potential sports fans on the south side of the city.  If south side residents attended and then told their friends about the games, maybe their friends and neighbors would also attend.  As the word spread, the stands would fill.  When local TV stations showed game highlights, a scene of a crowded stadium would let everyone know that a worthwhile sporting event is taking place at Pemberton Field.

Let's try to get some people to the next game on Thursday, July 1, at 6:30 p.m.

 Jay,
Thats the 64,000 dollar question!  Saturday 68 youngsters competed for 13 hours and only family and friends attended. I quess we live in a time where people are doing their own thing! The people that use to go to those games are doing other things. I think its unfair to state why aren't south siders going! How about people in the suburbs attending.

The Youngstown Express represents our city in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League.  Home games are played at Pemberton Field on the south side of Youngstown.

Why won't south side residents follow this team by attending the home games?
