I've been watching the TV coverage of the horrific wildfires in Australia.

Question
Is it possible (or likely) to send our fire fighting aircraft from the U.S. to Australia to help drop water/chemicals on the fires?  I believe it is summer in Australia while we are having winter in the northern hemisphere.
