The shooting is the city's ninth homicide this year. The previous slaying was March 14.

Youngstown police are on the scene of a homicide on the city's lower North Side.

Reports state a vehicle with bullet holes in it has been towed from the scene at 102 Saranac Ave. The Mahoning County Coroner's Office is also on site.

It appears the body was found behind the house.
