I agree with you Rusty, a $20,000 per year difference at a time when the city needs every penny it can get its fingers on makes it strange. Why would the city turn down $60,000 over three years?
It seems that the city is bending over backwards to give Zolden the shaft every chance it can.
By the time everyone finally realizes that the Chevy Center is the Covelli Center the contract will be up and the place will be renamed again. Is there some world record for the number of names that one building can have? This building already has three and its less than a decade old! Convocation center, Chevy Center, Covelli Center.
Some times money isn't the most important thing. Covelli brings in the trumbull county area and much, much more. So we have to think in terms of the long haul . Lets be positive and look at the good things at the Covelli Centre. Mr. Zoldan is committed to hockey and our community, and the Centre will benefit.
