Let's hope they build it keeping in mind if they plan on moving the downtown street festivals there vendors will need hookups for electricity, water, etc. as well as a way in and out for vehicles.....
Our luck they'll simple build a stage and even forget to put dressing rooms in as well as restrooms....
Remember the amphitheater that was on East Federal Street way back when. No dressing rooms, no spare plugs, no lighting to speak of no toilets. Why is it that in Europe they can build amphitheaters that can hold as many as 10,000 people, have both regular seating and off to the side tables where food and drinks are served. And a stage that can hold a 60 piece orchestra?

It will be a nice place for the panhandlers and vagrants to hang out at.
I hope the city administration asks the various festival organizers what type of facilities they would like to have at the amphitheater.
Let's hope they do, Jay!

This project depends upon using future government monies to pay off the 4+ million dollar loan. The new administration in Washington most likely will cut this and other funding sources.

Of course the main issue is who's going to make money booking acts for the amphitheater......
What if the amphitheater and convocation center have events at the same time on the same day. Where will all the cars park?
