West Side Residents,
Take some time on Memorial Day to walk to one of our west side cemeteries to pay respect and offer a prayer at the graves of our military veterans.
What would be better is if the 4th and 5th Ward groups would spend a little of their valuable time finding the graves of veterans who are not decorated and decorate them, but then maby this is asking too much. Back home one of the churches does this as an annual Memorial day project. Now I admit that saying prayers at the grave sites of KNOWN veterans is commendable, but so is taking time to remember those FORGOTTEN veterans who have no flag or marker on their grave.
Nice idea TT
Thank you PD, my heart breaks every time I hear of an old soldier whose family no longer is able to care for his grave. He gave so very much.
