Does anyone know what the average salary is for a Captain in the Y.P.D?

What is the current starting salary for new officers, and what is the proposed
new salary?

Just trying to figure out what Rick mentions below...ie: where the money will come
from if this idea is implemented......

A few ideas from the new police chief

Reduce the number of police captains from five to three
Hire ten more officers
Promotions based on tests and merit
Higher starting wage for new officers
Add another patrol unit
Reinstate community based officers (5 to 7)
