Look below to the QUESTIONS if you are having difficulty viewing pictures.

Regarding Attachments:
You can attach txt, doc, pdf, jpg, gif, mpg, png files to your posts.
Uploaded file byte size is limited to 150kb.

You can also imbed flash,

You can link to externally located files online as well.

Images ideally should be under 50kb to load swiftly on everyone's computers.

This board will automatcially resize your larger photos to 540 pixels in width so the board pages don't require scrolling left and right off of the screen at 800 by 600 resolution.

The orignal size will be available to those that want to download.

To reduce file size you can use tools online at
http://www.gifworks.com/
or use a program called Irfanview which is freeware.
http://www.irfanview.com/
To compress in Irfanview you will need to open your image and then "save as"  There is an options button that allows for different types of compression.  jpeg2000 lossless is a very good quick fix.

The space allotted on the server for images is limited so please post as small as you can in byte size.  When the folder is full, old images will need to be deleted to add more. (NEW LIMIT- INCREASED TO TEN TIMES THE ORIGINAL LIMIT)

If you decide to preview your post, you will need to attach the image again.  This is for security reasons.

QUESTIONS
Look here if you are experiencing difficulty viewing  posted images--

Q1. Why Can't I see imbedded images? (Also see Q2)
A.If you use Internet Explorer (version 6 in particular), you may not be able to view all the nice images in the messages, but there is a way to fix this.
If someone posts a message with a link to an image off of this site, the newer versions of IE have security settings to block viewing content across the internet.  If you go to your internet options and view custom security settings you will see checkboxes in front of different items.
To view cross-URL images,
ENABLE -
miscelleneous
access data sources across domains.

If you are posting a message with a picture...please also put the link to that image in the message as well so that the viewers can also click it to view if they don't wish to change their security settings.

Q2 Why can't I see Yahooo embedded images I could see before.
A.Yahoo has blocked remote linking to images.  Many of the images on the forum are located at the Mahoning Valley Yahoo Group.  To view the pictures, you will need to become a member of Yahoo and a member of the Mahoning Valley Yahoo Group.  It is free and takes only a few minutes.
