Well, fortunately - or unfortunately - we do live in a secular society, with
separation of Church and State as mandated by the Constitution.  I
personally believe in God, etc, but would not push my religious beliefs
on anyone else.

The topic of God and Government is definitely being raised more and
more often in recent times.  Personally, I have no problem with the
phrase "One Nation, Under God....." but there are those who do.

Hmmmm....

The words "under God" were added to the pledge during the 1950's.

With the growing push to remove God from government, I expect that this will begin happening across the country more often.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

After posting to another topice above and giving credit to council, I may have to take it back after reading this post!

During the Pledge of Allegiance at the special city council meeting today, the words "under God" were left out of the pledge.  Did anyone also notice this omission?
