YFD Requesting Knox Box Legislation

The Youngstown Fire Department approached the Safety Committee of City Council with a request for legislation requiring that Knox Boxes be installed on commercial buildings that do not have around the clock security personnel on duty.  A Knox Box would contain keys to enter vital parts of a building in case of a fire.  The fire department would hold the master key for the Knox Boxes and this key would only be used under strict security protocols.
