One only has to search historic debate on this site all the way back to when Kidd first moved into Youngstown community organizing over a decade ago, to understand the rise and exit of Philly the Kidd.
As fast as the Kidd hit center stage, he now hits the road Jack.......for Cleveland.
Yes our Downtown family of Fake Nonprofits,  once again place Kidd on the center stage, shouting from the roof tops how he saved Youngstown and how he sparked the renaissance.  So, let's all look at his past and truly disect what he really did for our community.  He first rolled right into City Hall, in the events and entertainment dept., what did he do there?  All I remember is he tried to copy outdoor movies, of course having the City fund the royalties unlike us in the suburbs raising funds ourselves.  He also was in the MVOC, that morphed into YNDC, that now sucks up all available grants meant for let's say City hall, but that is another story.  So after Kidd got tired of his City hall gig, he thinks he could be in the Private sector and sell Defund Youngstown T-shirts, he nearly starved to death.  The Fake Nonprofits must have heard that one of their Ilk was about to be homeless, so they stepped in an gave him a Salaried position.  Of course he fit in perfectly, notice how the fake Nonprofits pay themselves good salaries and produce the minimum and of course constantly morph into the front pages of the local rags, saying look at me, keep funding my existence.  In the real world, you produce or you starve.  In the Community organizing world, you use other people's money, this is socialism remember.
Now mind you, for over a decade, or more Kidd never invest in Youngstown, he rents and survives off of Nonprofits.  My opinion, is he was using Youngstown as a stepping stone as Jay Williams to a better Non Profit job, no matter where it be.
So, Phil's last gig, with the salary propping him up, he claims he raised over a Million for Wick Park......Nice......another job, that the City Hall is supposed to do but doesn't.
And for Kidd's last trick plastered all over the media.........I'm going to move this historic oldest Church in Youngstown!!!!
