From the Columbus Dispatch Newspaper....

Dann used campaign cash for rapper Ludacris concert

Former Attorney General Marc Dann tapped his campaign for dozens of expenditures that are being questioned by Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner's office, including tickets for a Youngstown rap concert, his law firm's cell phone bill, bicycle rentals and the gas and water bills on his Liberty Township home.

The findings are included in a 10-page letter sent today to Dann's campaign committee by J. Curtis Mayhew, campaign finance administrator for the secretary of state. The items turned up in a routine annual audit which, Mayhew said, cannot be completed until dozens of questions about expenditures are answered.

Mayhew also said Dann, who resigned May 14 after his office was rocked by scandal involving sexual harassment, cronyism and mismanagement, must personally reimburse the campaign committee for $33,524.76 he spent on security for his home.

Several personal cash reimbursements to Dann, totaling thousands of dollars, from the committee were also questioned.

Dann campaign officials were not immediately available for comment.
