Title: The Covid Test Kit Give-Away Today - Wednesday, December 29
Post by: jay on December 29, 2021, 09:58:13 AM
The City of Youngstown held another Covid test kit give-away today.  The city administration was to give out 4,000 test kits at 4 per car.
I watched WFMJ TV this morning and they stated at 5:30 a.m. that cars were already lining up along East Front Street.
What type of traffic problem did the city create this time?

WYTV @ 6:30 am reported the Market Street Bridge northbound was totally closed and Front Street was closed east of Market Street.

The elevator repair service for our building was stuck on the Market St exit ramp for almost an hour.

Reports of the line backed up to Indianola Ave.

I usually come into downtown via the Market Street Bridge.  Today I took Oak Hill to Front Street, then left onto Market into downtown.  No problems coming in that way.

As predicted, this event messed up traffic on Market Street.

Here is WKNB's account of this mess.
