Title: "Historic Milillo's Lowellville"
Post by: Youngstownshrimp on July 20, 2014, 10:14:24 AM
Live Jazz at the newly renovated Historic Melillo's!  This historic tavern has just been renovated with copper ornate ceilings, a bar that rivals the great Cities and two chef's highly recognized.  Lowellville is BACK!

Saddly when I downsized I had to dump most of my library so all I have left are books and picture that I have on my hard drive. I do though anxiously await the news that you cut a CD or is it "burnt", but anywho I anxiously await the news that you have become a recording artist. Is that recording studio thatuse tobe in town at the location of the old WXTV studios still in business?

Mellio's survived a fire in 1917 that took out every building in a 4 block radius.

The four blocks to the west and north of them was completely leveled.

In the past 2 years they have rebuilt the inside of the Building and have repaired what many here thought was a lost cause...

2 thumbs up....

Do you have a month and day for that fire so that I can look it up in the Vindicator archives?

All I can remember was February 1917.

I got that from Roslyn Torella's research...

I'll see if I can locate the article ... the February date helps narrow it down.
