What the Golden Gazzette is doing is definitely a good start.

But, I agree with the previous poster.  I would like to see a police blotter similar to the ones in Austintown and Boardman.

Perhaps there is just too much criminal activity for that to be realistic.

Would it be possible for the Vindicator and/or the Golden Gazette to create a blotter like the Boardman News?  The Boardman News actually name the perps and give their addresses.  The citizens of Youngstown should know the names and addresses of criminals who live and commit crimes in their neighborhood and elsewhere.

Thanks!  I'll have to check it out.

The Youngstown Police Department does put out a 'Golden Gazette'. It's a 2-3 page mini newsletter which offers tips and a weekly blotter. The Youngstown Channel website is digitizing them and making them available on the web at http://www.theyoungstownchannel.com/monitor/ypd.html.

Hope that helps!

I was told yesterday that Youngstown doesn't have a police blotter.  Online or otherwise.

Anyone know where I can read the Y-town police blotter online for free?
