Lordstown is scheduled to build the Chevy Cruze.

For what its worth, today's New York Times is running a story about a GM plug in car:

"G.M. Pins Hopes on a Plug-In Car, 2 Years Off"

It's the Volt.

Isn't this the car that would be built in Lordstown?

I vote NO to a bailout of the "Big three" using OUR tax dollars.

The auto industry has been in bed with the petrolium industry for wayyyy
too long now.

If the new administration gives them one DIME, they had BETTER make it an
absolute REQUIREMENT that ALL of the money be used to get alternative
vehicles out of "development" and ONTO SHOWROOM FLOORS, and make
them affordable enough so that people will actually want to BUY them.

Lets get the HELL off of gasoline, ONCE AND FOR ALL.  The money that people
would save on a car that is either electric, hybrid (gas/diesel and electric combo)
or something else entirely (ie: alcohol, hydrogen, whatever) would be put
BACK INTO OUR ECONOMY instead of being sent to the Middle East.

By the way, a gas station less than 6 miles from my house began to dispense
hydrogen a month ago.  Shocked [and pleasantly surprised] me.

Hydrogen IS coming... let's speed it up.

The bailout would apply to General Motors, Ford Motor and Chrysler.
