Coping with Grief and the Holidays- Canfield

When: Friday, November 20, 2020 - 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Where: Canfield Library at CN Meeting Room (Large)

Ordinarily, we think of the holidays as a time of joy, sparkle, and celebrations.  But when one is coping with grief, this yearÂ's holidays may be Â"out of the ordinaryÂ" for you.  As the holidays approach, it is important to recognize the benefit of understanding grief and implementing some strategies that can assist in coping with feelings of anxiety, sadness and emptiness.  Join Kim Calhoun, Bereavement Facilitator from Hospice of the Valley as she demonstrates taking a few intentional steps that can help an individual begin to regain a sense of order and peace.  You donÂ't need to face this transition alone.  This program is open to anyone who has experienced a loss.  Literature on grief, the company of supportive others, and information about the grieving process will be provided.
