The "Holiday Showcase" A Youth Fine and Performing Arts Fest! Saturday, December 18 from 10:00am to 7:00pm and Sunday, December 19 from 11:00 am to 6:00pm evolves with an exciting and varied program. From Ohio State University and Youngstown State University, to Cleveland Institute of Art and Columbus College of Art and Design, to Niles McKinley High School and Boardman High School, the festival brings a range of events to the Eastwood Expo Center including music, spoken word, visual arts, crafts, theater and dance.

In its first year, the Arts Festival has plenty for everyone. Music lovers can enjoy everything from jazz to orchestral strings to rock and roll. Confirmed performers include The Youngstown Connection, James Dance Center, Warren G. Harding Positive Force Team, Niles McKinley High School Christmas Band Ensemble and Belles & Beaux, the Market Street Muppets, the R.E.D.S. Tuba Quartet, Boardman High School Jazz Ensembles 1 and 2 along with Ashley Moore Newton Falls High School 9th grade student, Ally Dean Niles Middle School 8th grade student, and Katelin Deutsch, Niles Middle School 6th grade student and more to be announced. The two day program will also showcase the work of local artists and performers under the age of 26 and encourage emerging youth entrepreneurs with sales of their arts and crafts. The festival is free and open to the public with a free will donation accepted at the door.

The festival will offer the chance to take an in-depth look at the art work of many of the area's award winning young artists including Mark Bush, graduate from Columbus College of Art and Design, Nikki Mehle, freshman from Cleveland Institute of Art along with Joe Perry and Halley Snow from Youngstown State University. Alex Richards from Boardman Middle School, Bobby Rappach from J F Kennedy High School, Gretchen Fusselman and Cody Dodson from Niles McKinley High School are just a few of the young entrepreneurs who will be selling artwork at the festival. The audience can take part in a craft corner organized by Trumbull Career and Technical Center students studying preschool and early childhood while walk about characters greet young artists and families. There will be an area for gift wrapping the special gifts purchased at the festival.

Art Outreach Gallery at the Eastwood Mall Complex in Niles, Ohio is very excited to host the first annual "Holiday Showcase" A Youth Fine and Performing Arts Fest at the Eastwood Expo Center on Saturday, December 18 from 10:00am to 7:00pm and Sunday, December 19 from 11:00am to 6:00pm. A committee of representatives from Trumbull Career and Technical Center, Niles McKinley High School, Boardman High School, Youngstown State University, Kent State University along with the Art Outreach Gallery has been collaborating since late spring to organize the Festival. All students up to the age of 26 are invited to participate in the Fine and Performing Arts Festival. Our participants and patrons will experience stage productions alternating performances ranging from dance routines, dramatic interpretations, poetry reading, choral and instrumental music, choreography and headliner acts. Designated viewing areas will showcase student original film clips, artistic demonstrations, and young visual artists of all mediums will display, demonstrate and sell their art works.

The Art Outreach Gallery Board of Directors strongly believe that an 'arts' education, including dance, drama/theatre, music (choral and instrumental), and all forms and media of visual art is essential for the basic education of all students in Ohio. We, at the Gallery, continue to design and promote innovative and exemplary 'arts' education programs for our Valley children and students up to the age of 26. Our first annual Fine and Performing Arts Festival will enhance and support the implication of newly, emerging research in the 'arts' on the relationship between the development of intelligence and aesthetic experience. We have created a new venue for local children and student development highlighting creative experience in all of the 'arts' under one roof. It is also our hope to show ethnic diversity among our creative participants. The Art Outreach Gallery will continue to help others understand what the 'arts' contribute to the learning capabilities of all young people.
The Art Outreach Gallery Board of Directors thanks the Festival Sponsors Rising Suns Entertainment, Macali's Giant Eagle, Office Max, Wings Warehouse, Eastwood Mall Complex and the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau for their very generous support to this amazing youth creative opportunity. We also thank the many volunteers who are making the Festival come alive, including the Niles McKinley High School Key Clubs, football and baseball team members, the Youngstown Junior Women's League, Trumbull Career and Technical Center Early Childhood Education and Interior Design students  along with the Gallery's Special Events Committee members.
The Art Outreach Gallery is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The Gallery is looking for additional "Angels" to support the "Holiday Showcase" A Youth Fine and Performing Arts Fest! Please consider making a donation to the Art Outreach Gallery. Mail your donation to Art Outreach Gallery, PO Box 1343, Warren, Ohio 44482. Thank you for your support in this amazing community development and art appreciation initiative.
