DO NOT FORGET THE LANSINGVILLE 4th of JULY PARADE ON JULY 2, 2017... IT WILL BEGIN AT 1:30 PM AT SHADY RUN ROAD AND EAST MIDLOTHIAN BLVD. ACROSS FROM THE FORMER WYTV STUDIOS.
The Parade will be on July 2, 2017 TIME: 1:30 PM A new parade route was established with the step off at the Byzantine at the Grove building. It will then go down Shady Run Road to Inverness, turn left on Jean Street and go all the way to Indianola before reaching its final destination at the old Adams School plot.For those who don't know where the Byzantine Center at the Grove is, it is on Shady Run Road across the street from the former WYTV studios, off East Midlothian Blvd.
Nice Parade
but
The parade should have started and ended at the same place. People walking in the parade had to beg rides back to the starting location.
There was s lot of candy thrown onto the road where it was then smashed by parade trucks and parade cars. This was a waste of candy and the smashed candy became litter.
The parade participants were mostly politicians and their supporters. There have to be more community groups in future parades.
